OLAPLEX No.7 Bonding Oil is a concentrated leave-in styling oil for the final, polished part of a hair routine. The 30 ml bottle is small by design: the brand recommends only two or three drops, used on damp or dry hair.

What it is good at
The oil is positioned to add shine and softness while smoothing flyaways and frizz. OLAPLEX also describes it as offering heat protection up to 450°F/232°C. It can be worked through damp hair before styling or skimmed over dry lengths and ends when a finished style needs more gloss and control.

What to know before buying
This is a silicone-based styling formula, with dimethicone and phenyl trimethicone high on the ingredient list, and it contains fragrance. That matters if you avoid silicones or scented haircare. Fine hair may need just one drop to begin; adding more is easier than correcting an overloaded finish. It is a finishing and styling product, rather than a rinse-out conditioner or a substitute for cutting badly split ends.

A measured way to apply it
Remove the cap, turn the bottle upside down and tap the base with an index finger to release a metered drop. Warm two or three drops between the palms, then distribute through mid-lengths and ends. Keep the first application light, especially near the roots, and add a final trace only where flyaways need it.
